A TARGET customer has called for a boycott of self-checkout after a frustrating discovery in the store.

A TikToker wants others to boycott Target's self-checkout, claiming that the process makes her feel like a cashier.

Tara Bobeara (@tarabobeara) explained that despite her love for the retailer, she strongly disdains their self-checkout system.

"I feel like they make it where it's like you're the cashier now," she explained in the video.

Bobeara was a former cashier herself but felt like her local Target having a conveyor belt and scanner was too much for an everyday customer.

While standing outside the retailer, she called on her followers to spring into action and asked them to stop going to the kiosk altogether.

"It's so frustrating. I want us all to boycott using self-checkout. I'm going to be like a boomer here, I just want us to boycott it, I don't want to use it anymore," Bobeara pleaded.

"Somebody, somebody stop this. I really do feel like I should be getting paid, and normally I wouldn't feel like that, but it's so annoying now and I don't wanna do it anymore."

While at first, the TikToker singled out Target for how it runs the self-checkout line, she progressed to calling for a general boycott of all retailers' self-checkouts.

"Target is obviously causing me to have a nervous breakdown," she captioned her video.

Bobeara's followers said that they felt similar frustrations and that they avoid the kiosks when they can.

"I hate it because it’s not a choice anymore. I have to be the cashier," one person wrote.

"It’s almost like they’re trying to make us do free labor. This is why I order almost 100% of what I used to buy at Target," another commenter revealed.

"I almost was forced to do self-checkout at Aldi and I’m like uhhh I have like 100 items please," a person explained.
